Hello:

This is my first time posting on this forum and unfortunatly im not making a contribution. I am posting to ask what your opinion is on the settings i have in mind for my wait4me tune. The setings are as follows:

Vehicle type is: 2003 S-10 Blazer with ZR-2 off rad pkg.

Engine: 4.3L

Transmission: 4L60-E

Tire size: 31x10.50x15

Diff gearing: 3.73

Current modifications:

March performance underdrive pulleys

Volant CAI

Flowmaster 50, single 3" in, dual 2.5" out, exit just behind R R tire.

C.F.M. smooth throtle blade

Trans Dapt torque curve throtle body spacer

Descreened MAF

Vararam Velocity stack(dont laugh)

B&M shift plus electronic shift controler

J.E.T. 180 degree thermostat

HPP3(to be removed and sold to provide funds for W4M tune.

END of modifications.

Tuning requests:

Optimal 89-91 octane tuning for performance & fuel economy.

5100rpm red line.

5000rpm WOT shifts.

Factory trans shift firmness(B&M shift controler takes care of that)

Remove 50% of torque management for first 3/4 or 75% of throtle.

Remove 75% of torque management for W.O.T.

Anything else you can think of to aid in performance and economy.

END of tuning requests.

Anyone care to post an opinion?.

Thanks.

I figured the headers would take some power from the low/mid range and move it too high up in the rpm's. I dont use power in the upper rpm's, mostly low to mid for off roading and a quick gettaway every now and then. Thanks for your opinion though.

aWhy would you think that? Helping the exhaust gasses escape will increase performance thru the whole range. I definately feel it in the low end....ah, that sounds funny but you know what i mean.

Cant wait to get the pcm tune, my truck kicks butt now!
