Could my system cause this???

Well, I have battling a crazy idle issue for weeks, and the shop has finally narrowed it down to three bad grounds that were cauding the electrical interference. They also say that the way I have my stereo wired, and my power inverter, and reverse lights caused the grounds to maybe fail.

I have them all wired to the positive terminal of the battery and they are fused properly. Recently I also wired in a 2nd battery w/out an isolator.

The show said that the voltage to my PCM going too low (10.1) and that was causing it to some times command a high idle from my engine. Thus they have fixed the grounds, disconnected the 2nd battery and all my accessories from my main battery. The truck is now running okay.

My question is does it make sense that the way I had them wired could have caused the grounds to go bad?, or was that coincidental. So, now that the grounds are fixed, can I just wire everything back the way they were and not worry a/b it? Please help and thanks.

Sounds like you have to many acc. pulling too much juice. I would need a little more detail on the second battery hook up and how many watts the acc are pulling each. Your battery could also be old and not holding its charge or your alternator is not large enough to maintain the proper voltage when all of the acc are on.
