2003 Yukon w/4WD no "Z71" stickers

Dear Expert,

 

I have a White GMC Yukon with 45,000 miles. I bought it about 1 month ago. The vehiocle has 4WD, an Off-Road Suspension and skid plates. It has an RCO code of "Z71" but the vehicle does not have external Z71 decals on the rear quarterpanels.

 

Should it have these decals? Or, were the decals ommited in 2003?

I've never seen an '03 Tahoe with the Z71 stickers on the rear quarterpanels, only the small badges on the door pilars.
