Hello, I have a dilemma, my wife is driving the 01 pickup, it has 73,000 miles and she called tonight and said that the steering is making a clicking noise, I seriously do not know what she is talking about. How can you tell when power steering is going out. I just think it is cold natured, because it is only around 15 degrees here in MO. Thanks for your help.

When the steering wheel becomes very hard to turn, you know you have a problem. :banghead:

Seriously though, these are *usually* either they work or they don't. There's not much in-between.

Well she came home tonight and I went out to see what she was talking about. Its actually the steering that sqeeks. Its inside the cab, so I say its from it being so cold here. I was going to wait until it warms up and see if it goes away. Do you think this could turn into a problem?

Well possibly in my own opinion, those sqeeks can cause headaches and uncontrolable laughter from friends who think you passed gas. Naaa in reality my jeep did this it went away with a few squirts of wd40 and a good drive with a few turns, had 139,000 and it never caused a problem. Now the rest of the car well lest just say :banghead::cheers::cheers: , (DONT BUY A JEEP)
