92 Silverado air control problem

On a 92 Silverado with a/c. When you turn key on it makes a clicking noise around heater vent for about 5 seconds then quits. It does the same thing when you turn off key. Looks like I need to pull dash to get to problem. What all is ijnvolved with pulling dash?
