2006 GMC Denail pickup

My father is looking upgrade from an 03 dodge dakota cc 2wd 360. I have pretty much got him talking to to the 06 Denail pickup. Reason wanting the 6.0l and not the 2500 or HD's. Something to tow the 20ft inclosed next summer and drive to Texas to see my sister in comfort. Sticker on the denali is 42,500 with factory 20's. Gm's red tage sale 32,500. So he could get the truck for 27,000 out the door. And the truck is white to match the trailer

 

Has anybody had problems towing with them ?

 

Or any recalls ?

 

Any thing we sould know about it, before the deal ?

I would talk to the guys at denalitrucks.com. They all love their trucks and they seem to be a very knowledgeable and honest group of guys. Not sure if the 06 is quadrasteer. I heard they were doing away with q-steer but I don't know when. These guys rave about the q-steer when trailering and as far as issues/recalls it really seems they follow the 1/2 ton trucks on those things. You rarely if ever hear about problems on Denali specific parts like q-steer and the AWD transfer case. I'm not the expert but this is what I gather from reading over at denalitrucks. The Denali is one sweet truck. I plan to replace the tahoe with a yukon denali when the time comes.

What they told him 32500 redtag 12000 for the trade 27000 out the door and thats with tax title and license.

[05Quadrasteer]

As a follow up to a comment a previous poster made on the Quadrasteer. GM did stop putting the system into vehicles with the 2005 model year. Also the comment about us loving them is correct. It was the best investment I have made in a truck. Pulls my 20 boat with so much ease, and the turning is fantastic. Love the looks people give me when they realize that the back tires are turned as well. Also being able to do U-turn without going back and forth is so much fun.
