Does anyone have any photos of their truck with the rubber splash guards? Thinking of putting them on my truck to keep roadgrim off the underside. Whites a pain in the a$$ when it comes to grease and tar.

I don't know if you can make them out very well in all the pictures, but heres some pics of some Powerflow molded splash guards on my '99.

They do ok. They did work better with the factory 265/75 tires vs the 285/75 tires I have had on it for a few years now. I got them mainly to help with rock chips.

Thanks man, those really don't look that bad. I'll probably order a set to put on mine. By the way, your truck is sharp.

Man those are nice...where did you get them???how much???hard to put on???

I ordered them from the Sears Automotive catalog 4-5 years ago. I don't remember the price though. They were pretty easy to put on. The rubbery molded part faded after a year or so, so I took them off and painted that part with satin paint for flexible rubber/plastic material.

Hey I just figured I would put in my 2 cents worth here. I have the molded mud flaps and the only bad thing I can say is that if you don't have the fender flares like I do they rub against the paint. Right behind where it molds to the fender it catches little pieces of gravel and sand and just grinds the paint off. I would not go with molded ones again unless I had the fender flares. If I had a digital camera I would take a few pics so you could actually see what I mean. Anyways just my opinion. Have a good one. Trucks look awesome guys!!!! :D

Sorry for the delay...they are the GM accessories mud guards. I don't have the part numbers anymore...but I ordered then thru the parts department at the Chevy dealer. They're real easy to put on...no drilling, they use existing holes from the fender liners. JCEDAR is absolutely right about the rubbing of the paint. I used some of that clear 3M paint guard so it wouldn't ruin the paint. Although, I'm sure that the trucks that these came on from the factory didn't have any paint protection...

Hey man,

How much for those fender flares??? I will hopefully be repainting most of my truck in the spring and will be adding fender flares so if your asking the right price I will take them off your hands.

Thanks a lot,

John

Here's a couple of shots of mine that I bought from the GM Accessories catalog and installed the same week I bought the truck in 99. They've held up well, and the fitment is good, but I've been considering removing them as I'm gonna try for a cleaner, smoother, debadged look. When I checked them out the other day, I noticed that rust is building up in the gap between the molded flare and the fender...mostly the fronts. Moisture, dirt, debris, etc. must work it's way in there and hold the moisture  Guess I'm gonna need some body work before I go the other direction....although, I wonder how much rust would be there anyway without the flaps to catch the crud.
