How do you adjust the front Door on a Tahoe?

My Driver door was hit and had to be replaced. I just got it back from the body shop.. while it looks great... anything over 30mph I can hear a hurricane like the window is open..

I can physically feel the space is about 1/2 inch wide at the top of the window frame by the windshield. There is little or no space on the passenger side..

I need to bring it back to the shop to be adjusted..

So.... How does a body shop fix that? The door hinges are NON ADJUSTABLE...

Do they just flex the metal? I am really bummed out about this... Please tell me it's an easy fix..

I don't think the body shop had the jig set up right when they hung the new door. Or worse the new door may have been a little tweaked before they hung it, but these are just guess'. But then again I'm not a qualified body repair tech.. I would get it back in there as soon as possible, and also notify the insurance company that the repairs were not completed to your satisfaction if you have problems getting the body shop to correct the problem.:cool:

Just my $.02

first, put the window all the way down. then put your knee on the inside near the arm rest and pull the top of the door in with your hands. this usually tweeks it just enough to stop the wind noise.

The only adjustment to the top of the door is to let the window down and pull carefully and evenly. Use a dollar bill to check the seal between the door. Close it with the bill betwen and pull it out making sure it feels the same as the other side.
