Alright, I've heard this song 2 or 3 times in the past two weeks and I dig it. I'm thinking I want to add it to my musical collection.

 

I think it's from the 70s

 

And it goes: "I was lookin for a sign in the middle of the night, but I couldn't see the light, no I couldn't see the light"

Might this be it? The words aren't exact, but I assume it may just be a case of mistaken lyrics.
