Cleaning up the truck

The first thing I want to do is remove all the badges and side molding on my 04 but frankly I'm a little scared to just start ripping this stuff off. Does anyone know a safe way to remove it?

Next does anyone know is a better/cheaper to paint the front valance and bumper or buy a bumper cover?

Stock number for arrival blue metallic door handles?

If you have experience in any of these areas please let me know, I really want to put my tax return to some good use....

Use a hair dryer (or heat gun, if you have one) for the decals.

For the trim, you can use a piece of fishing wire, and pull it between the plastic and the paint. Then use the hair dryer, some Goo-B-Gone, and a bit of elbow grease to get the remaining sticky stuff off of there.

Just take your handles and valance down to the local paint and body place, and have them paint it. :dupe:

That's how I'd do it anyway.

I actually took off my badges last night. It was really simple. I heated them up and used fishing line to work the adhesive off. Then I bought 3m general purpose adhesive remover , sprayed it on, and it came off like a breeze.
