which tune?

I have a 2000 GMC 2500 with a 6 litre 4:10 axles with 44000. kilometers which is used almost strictly for towing a trailer that weighs 8800 lbs loaded. I have been reading lately about PCM tunes. I want to keep using 87 octane fuel. My question is what tune to get . I dont know anything about these tunes and would appreciate any input as to who has the best and how to contact them.. Thanks for any input.

I have the Westers tune as well. In fact just got mine updated due to some new modifications to my truck.

They are great people to work with. Willing to help you and get the tune just the way you want it. With the octane you want to run and take into consideration how you use the truck.

Have a great day.

I can give PCMforless a positive review. I got Bryan's tune for my Silverado SS and it made a huge difference. He is not as cheap as Jessie(wait4me) but I think he is less expensive than Wester's.

PCMforless is also a site sponsor.

I also got a pcmforless tune, I was very happy with it, it made a big difference, actaully talked to brian on his cell phone, and so did my dad when he had his done, nice guy and very knowledgable. I stronger suggest firmer shifts and also ask him to stiffened up the torque converter lockup (should help gas mileage).

I got a westers tune and what a huge difference in performance over the stock settings. They are a litle pricier but you get what you pay for I guess. Plus they got great tech support.

Thanks everybody for your input..Checked out pricing and found westers very expensive. I think i might give Jesse a call. He seems to be the most resonable. Im not really up on these tunes but what i read from the previos forums is that removing torque management makes a huge difference. It would be nice to have a little more pulling power.
