New Tahoe Rear Folding Seat

At work a coworked and I were discussing the new tahoe. He was at a local chevy dealership and they had one so he checked it out. Said it is nice however 2his concern was the rear folding seat. Said it folds up alot faster than on TV. What would happen if it folded up on someone? We were thinking this could be a huge lawsuit??? I thought it may have some sort of pressure sensor to tell when someone or something is on the seat. Can any comment on this? I would think chevy would have thought this one out regarding safety but ya never know.

Thanks!

That would be a good idea for the Avalanche. They're in the back acting a fool, punch the button and WHAM! Seats pop back up and they're safe and sound locked in the bed!

I think the power part is just the seat release. I'm pretty sure that the flip-fold action is spring loading. (Based on the brochure's wording- "..power release switch.." in the section touting the new folding rear seats). Most likely the seats lack enough force to actually flip forward with any amount of weight in the seat (such as a child in a booster seat or an infant in a car seat).
