speaker replacement for suburban

Hi everyone.I'm new to this site as well as new to this type of vehicle, so please bear with me!!!I just got a 1993 k2500 suburban sle.I love this rig.It came with a decent Clarion mp3 deck.But, the speakers suck or barely work at all.I want to replace the ones in the dash at least.I do have a jl10wo4 sub and an amp for bass.I just want some good highs and mids.I don't know how to remove dash speakers and what size they are.Any help would be cool.Thanx......

Check out Crutchfield. They will tell what speakers fit where, and if you add a pair to your cart, you should also automatically get install instructions added to your cart as well. You should be able to click on the instructions and read/print them.

The ones in the dash are 4 x 6 inch speakers. Pretty much any that you buy will fit...Plates took a bit of coaxing for me to get in there, but they went.

 

I don't know about the Suburbans, but my '92 has a couple of 4 X 10 inch speakers in the ceiling back by the backglass too.

Good deal then.

 

There aren't many places that make the 4 x 10's, mine are Kicker brand, and I think that Pioneer and Kenwood make them (or at least used to make them) as well.
