Water Leak

Recommended Posts

It just got finished raining here in Knoxville and I went out to my truck to get something. I opened the passenger door and saw some water in the weatherstripping. I pulled off the plastic running board(don't know what it really is) and in that trough(i don't know) underneath it was a bunch of water near the front of it. Any one know what is going on?? Should I take it into the dealer or what? It looks like it started to get some surface rust in there too.  ???  ???

Anybody know any TSB's for this leak? What is the deal on this leak? Any help would be very helpful.  ???

I don't remember any TSB's on this, but there might be.  I'd definately take it to the dealer if its under warranty.  If not, maybe you could get in the truck and have someone spray the windows, or where ever you might think the leak is coming from, with a water hose.  Might be able to find it then, and could be an easy fix.

Are you sure you got your door closed good?  If not, water could have leaked in during a rain storm or something.  Just a thought.  ???

Good luck.

Thanks, It is pouring outside right now. I checked the doors first, I think it was probably the 3rd door not closing correctly and then the passenger door did not close right. I hope that was it, but it probably wasn't, I always get screwed. I will spray some water on it this weekend and see where it is coming from.

                                       Thanks  ???

ps. my truck is out of warranty  ??? dealer is probably going to charge some crazy amount to fix it
