What's under the trans. tunnel

Has anyone mounted anything (i.e lockbox, CB radio, etc.) on the transmission tunnel? I have the 60/40 seat and I would like to mount a lockbox on the tunnel.

 

Are there any wires between the carpet and the body pan? Are there any assemblies beneath the tunnel that could be damaged if I pop rivet the box to the tunnel?

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Don't know what kind of transmission you have but on my old 03' with NV4500 5 speed, I mounted a "Tuffy" locking console. It replaced my center '20' portion of my front seat. It went in ok, no wires or obstructions under the carpet on the tunnel. Hardest part was doing the install by myself - could've used a set of hands keeping the unit steady while I was underneath tightening the bolts down. There was a surprising amount of room down there.
