I have an Access cover, and am very happy with it. It installed in about 30 minutes (Would have been quicker, but I had a 2 & 3 year old "helping" me). I'll post some pictures of it tonight, once I get home.

I have a pace edwards jackrabbit and have had good luck with it so far. Beats trying to take a fiberglass cover off!! just roll it back and load up the bed.

If you're looking for something cheap to keep the rain/wind out, roll up is probably one of your cheapest options.. However, if you're looking for a little security and peace of mind, I'd reccomend www.peragon.com, a little bit more expensive but worth it. I own one and will stand by it.

I had looked at those but no one had said anything and they are quite a bit cheaper than the competition so i figured it was a you get what you pay for type of thing. How do you like it? Do you have pics of it installed on your truck? any details would be great

Thanks

I've got an Access roll up cover. So far, I love it, and wouldn't even consider a hard one instead. I can have it rolled or unrolled in about a minute. It looks good, and is pretty water tight.

The roll up cover works best for me. Often times, I will need to stop at Costco or the grocery store on the way home. Since I drive about 35 miles of unpaved, muddy roads to get home, I want the stuff I bought to be covered. Also, every week, I need to haul our trash to the dump, so I just rull up the cover, pile in the trash, put a bed net over it, and can easily go to the dump.

Here are some pictures of it installed.

Oh man, it's much better than I expected it to be. It doesn't even take 5 seconds to retract or pull the cover out. And the fact that it uses gas struts to pull it back and keep it closed makes everything so effortless. I don't have any pics of MY truck with it installed yet, but I do have pics of it on a similar truck both open and closed. Here's a link to a post I made not too long ago about it. Link to post

You'll see how it folds itself up at the front of the bed, under the rails. Very slick! There's so many plus's to this cover I wouldn't even know where to start... One, it automatically retracts itself and you just 'pull' the cord to pull it closed and the gas struts will keep it closed (and open.) Two, it's aluminum, don't have to worry about some punk kid or thief slashing it w/ a little ol pocket knife. Three, it's 99% watertight and comes with enough weather stripping to finish it off and make it watertight. Four, it's fully lockable... uses a deadbolt type lock system to keep it closed. But, a determined thief will break into anything, but it does make a good deterrant. Plus, unlike vinyl, it won't stretch and start flapping around in the wind once it starts getting old and worn and won't fade since it's powder coated and aluminum to resist extreme temps so no freezing or cracking. We all know what extreme temps does to cloth and vinyl. But anyways, it's all a matter of what you think you need... I got the Peragon because I travel occasionally and will carry stuff in the back that will be unattended and I need to feel safe about leaving my things back there. Keeping out rain was the #1 reason, but the safety and security drove me to buy the hard cover. And then I found this one, huge happy medium between the $900 painted fiberglass covers that keep rain out well and deter thieves. Only drawback to those though is that you have to REMOVE the cover if you want to haul large objects... with the peragon cover, you just simply retract it and 90% of your bed is available for use on the spot. But of course if you ever do need it removed, it's held in by 1 locking pin so pop out the pin and slide the cover off. It's about double the price of a vinyl rollup cover, which, is what you want if you aren't worried about security or don't care if it expands and flaps in the wind once it gets old and just want rain protection for your valuables and nothing more.

Anyways, bottom line is, I'm more than satisfied... Install took a couple of hours but that's probably because I like to take my time and eyeball everything to perfection.
