2006 Tahoe - Sheetmetal/radio question

Hey.. Just wondering what they meant by the New sheet metal on the 2006 tahoe vs. the previous years? When they say new, I hope they mean stronger or better... and not cheaper

 

Also does anyone know if the DVD navigation package has a better rms output for the sound system vs. the standard radio?

I would guess by new sheetmatal they wnated to say it is not the same shape. They do not have to make various alloys just to call it different. I can not answer your other question.

Hmm... alright.. I was just wondering if they are using the new style metal (if you even want to call it metal) like seen on the 07's.. Most dealerships don't have anymore 05's.. Im going to go to an automall and find and 05 and try and compare. Visually All I see different is that big plastic piece on the upper portion of the liftgate that goes around the middle brakelight, and a larger grill (for exterior only, i know there were mechnical adjustments too).. That piece of plastic on top the liftgate is annoying, I don't even know why that was put there, and what purpose it serves...

 

As for the radio/navigation, looks like I am bringing some CDs to the dealership
