Leaf spring bracket/shackles

I have a 1991 k1500 that needs the rear spring shackles/brackets replaced due to rust. Can anybody direct me to sites/retailers where I can purchase these? Further, can anyone recommend the best and easiest removal and replacement methods?

I would go to the dealer and get the replacement part numbers and order the shackles from GM Parts Direct. They will sell them a lot cheaper than your dealer. You will probably need new nuts, bolts and washers as well. I would also pick up a Chiltons repair manual for your truck, that way you can find the safest method to do the job.

If you do it yourself you will definitely need a set of jackstands and a hydraulic lift floor jack. Oh and welcome to the forum, sorry it took so long to reply.
