Ok this may seem like a dumb question but what is the difference between a 1992 GMC Sierra and a 1992 GMC C/K Full Size Pickup? I am trying to buy parts but i cant seem to find any for a 92 sierra but are the C/K and the Sierra the Same?

Yes, its the same thing. A 92 GMC sierra, if it is a 1500, is either a C1500 or a K1500 depending on whether it is a 2wd or a 4x4. C=2wd, K=4x4.

Obviously a sierra 2500 would be a C2500 or K2500 and so forth for the 3500.

O Ok yeah I was going to buy some new headlights, door handles, and a new grill but i dint want to order them for the rong truck.. It just confused me becuase they had a spererate section for sierra and c/k but the sierra section only went back to 1999 while the c/k section went back much earlier.. and I was looking for 1992 parts

O Ok yeah I was going to buy some new headlights, door handles, and a new grill but i dint want to order them for the rong truck.. It just confused me becuase they had a spererate section for sierra and c/k but the sierra section only went back to 1999 while the c/k section went back much earlier.. and I was looking for 1992 parts

Yeah, in 99 when they changed the body style, they quit referring to the silverados and sierras as C/Ks.

Actually GMC's are/were "R/V" models where Chevy's are C/K. R was a GMC branded 2wd and V was the GMC branded 4 wheel drive. Since there are more Chevy's around and they use the same parts everyone just uses the chevy c/k part numbers usually.

Now the external body moldings, badging, and fasica are not always the same between the chevy's and gmc's even up to current models. Just be careful and make sure it IS the right part for your truck.
