Can a Instrument Gauge Cluster from a Dmax that has trans. temp. gauge in it be installed in a 6.0 truck? If so what if anything other than the cluster will be needed?

 

 

Just thinking how nice it would be to monitor the trans. temp.

I don't have any info on where you can get one, but the Denali line also has the trans temp gauge. (also a 6L)

Plug and play! All 99 up (new style) trucks have the tranny temp capibility, just plug in the cluster and it will work.

Thats good to know. Anyone have part # for the cluster with the trans/temp. gauge in it? I found one on e-bay,Item number: 8056121034 it came out of a Dmax I wasnt sure if it would work in mine. If anyone knows let me know and I will bid on this one.

JPCustoms.com sells them but separates the gas model from the diesel model. It may be related to indicators relating back specifically to either model.

remember Dmaxes will redline much lower than the gassers, and 8.1L's are lower than 6.0's. You really need a cluster that is from the same engine type as yours.

Get a cluster from a Denali or an Escalade, both have the 6.0!

I would definetly only use one from a truck/suv with a 6-Liter.

Thanks I now see the difference in the tachs. on the Dmax and Gas clusters on JP Customs. Don't think I'll be bidding on the one on E-bay. But all the ones at JP Customs said they where for 1500 Series. Anyone know where you can get one for a 2500 ?

Dosen't matter,It'll work.As long as you don't get one for a diesel or a big-block.

Your truck must not have the factory trailering package?
