Leveling your truck

Honestly, the cheapest way to level your truck would be to go down to the local sand pit and pay the minimum load charge (probably about $5) and get a load of sand.  That will level it out real cheap....

Sorry I can't give you a real answer, because I've never understood the purpose of a truck that sits level when unloaded.

I'm assuming this a 2wd.

I think you could level the front by adding a coil spring spacer, but I'm not familiar with them and don't know how much lift you would get.

You could also lower the rear by replacing the stock shakles with some 2 inch lowering shakles.  I think I've seen them for around $50.00 or so, maybe cheaper.

Good luck.

So far it is the cheapest method that I know of, but maybe not the best.  Check out daystarproducts.com  They have two different sizes either ~1 inch or ~2 inch.  With the 1 inch lift the spacer is about 0.5 inch thick and provides a lift of around an inch.  They told me I would NOT need new shocks. I assume you should only need an alignment.  Now the 2 inch model requires new a-arms and probably new brake lines  and shocks and you might not be able to get a good alignment.  I am thinking about the 1 inch models myself for when I put new tires on this summer.  They run about $65 per set of 2.  I would not recommend getting the $10 rubber spacers from parts stores.  They would lift the front too much (about 2 inches) and being rubber I would think they may be a little sloppy in the handling dept.

I removed all the leaf springs (except one to hold the wheel in) and added an air suspension setup, and it leveled it nicely.

Though thats a bit fancy, you might wanna try something easier - and cheaper   :D

I think this opinion that we share isn't popular among the masses.
