2007 Question

I've read everything I can get my hands on about the 2007 Trucks. It mentions coil overs for the front end. Does this mean no more torsion bars? I know better than to get my hopes up for a SFA.

Torsion bars on the GMT900 units are gone thank god. I have heard a rumor that a recent change automotive industry safety standards have squeezed out torsion bars from being used on US vehicles. I have not been able to confirm this anywhere but it sure sounds odd to me although I can’t say I will miss them.

Don't count your lucky stars. The SUV'S def have front coils. I imagine the 1500 4 X 4 line will have the same, but take a look at the spy shots of the HD's. On about the 4th picture down. You can see the bar between the tire and fender. Also, the inner fender well is clearly visible above the tire. No upper mounting brackets for coils.

Yeah, I was referencing the 900’s below 9000 lbs in my post. Nobody is supposed to talk about the 08 HD’s yet but the HD spy photos….may or….may not be an actual GMT980 chassis..but a powertrain mule running a 800 chassis with a 900 light duty body We will see....

Now I'm confused. Will there be a change for the HD's in 07 or are they waiting until 08 to change them?
