01 Silverado misc. no start

My V-6 '01 Silverado has developed a strange intermitent/no start condition that I can't seem to track down. Usually I can hop in, turn the key like normal and it fires up no problem. Once in a while it will decide to just flat out not start, or even try to. When this occurs, I don't hear anything try to engage, it's like the entire starting system dies.

The only way I have been able to convince it to start when it does this is to move the wires around on the power dist. block, yet it doesn't always work.

Anyone have an idea of what may cause this???

If jiggling a few wires even 'sometimes' works that's where you want to start. Check some stuff like; Is the battery charged? Are all the connections clean and tight? Are the relays good?

But, it definately sounds like an electrical problem either between the battery and the starter or the ignition switch and the starter. Could just be a loose or dirty connection. Good luck.
