I have a 1999 4.3L V6 with a P1345 code and lack of power. I just replaced the timing chain. The chain had a lot of play in it. I started it up and and still have lack of power and code.

Could id be the cam sensor? The distributor gear looked ok. Lost Help!

If its not the chain or gear there is another possibility. I have seen one that the plate that the rotor sits on gets loose on the dist. shaft and turns a little. That would explain both your low power and the P1345. I'm sure the worn out chain will help once you get it fixed so really your not out any money. Don't feel bad, the gear and chain is what I would have done first also. The easiest thing to do would be to get a known good distributor and swap them out.
