Power Window Failure in '95 Tahoe

Hey all,

'95 Tahoe 4 door

driver's side rear seat window is not responding at all.  Neither the driver's door panel switch or the switch on the faulty window does anything.

All 3 other windows work fine ( both from the driver's door switches and on the doors themselves ).

No grinding/struggling sound when I press either switch, just completely dead.  I assume it's a power loss somewhere since both switches are dead.

Should I start by checking fuses ( I don't think each door has a separate fuse right? )

Any advice or diagnosis sequence before I start ripping the door panel off?

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

I'm no mechanic but it sounds like that windows motor is fried. ???  If not take of the panel and try a voltmeter or test light and push the switch to see if you are getting power to the motor.

What silverado man said.  Pop the control panels out and check to make sure there is voltage when you press the switch.  It is not likely that you will have 2 switches to the same motor fried.  More than likely it is the window motor or a broken wire in the harness to the motor.  Good luck.
