Ordered fold a cover from dealer

They had a long bed on the lot with one installed so I checked it out. Works flawless and fits good. They also said that it would be covered under my warranty that came with the truck. Matched the cheapest online price that I could find. $646.00 and no frieght. Should be in Thursday. I could only hope everyone has a dealer like mine. They really treat me right!! :D

Hmm, isn't this cover the same thing as Advance cover? I paid about $ 440, free shipping. I would like to know if the mounting clmaps and brackets are the same. The Advance cover is an improved version of the fold-a-cover. Every panel latches to the bed when the cover is closed and the seal are improved. They use piano type hinges between the panels.

Sounds like about the same thing. Each panel doesn't lock in on the one I'm getting just the front and the back. Clamps on in the stake pocket holes. The top panels clamp onto the rails. Did you get a 3 year warranty that doesn't have to be shipped somewhere? I'm sure that the advanced cover is just as good or maybe better, I just like the fact I have someone in town that has to stand behind mine. Piece of mind insurance. I do wish each panel would latch. Never know they may have changed the design on the one I ordered. Hope you have good luck with yours.

No, the waranty on mine is only one year, but I hear that the company that makes them does provide replacement seals and other parts for free to customers on demand, even after one year period.

I thought that GM went to a new style folding hard cover and I thought that it was the advance cover. Does yours have piano type hinges on panels? They also gave me a tailgate handle lock with this cover (po'n'lock version). The best price I could get from a GM dealer was $ 710 plus tax on this cover, or about $ 750. $ 440 is three hundred dollars less, so it was hard to pass it up.

I am still considering getting a fiberglass topper, so if I found a buyer for this cover, I would let it go for $ 400 (still in a box, not installed).
