Engine is "cranky"

I don't want to diagnose this, I added some Techron at last fillup, a couple days later I notice the engine will crank a second or two before firing up. Before, it would start immediately, no cranking at all. Have new plugs, fuel filter, wires within last 2 months. It has been extremely rainy/humid here last week or so. Any ideas? Should I just fill the tank with fuel? Maybe I got some crap fuel, I went to a different station when I added the Techron.

Sorry, I forgot to say. It is a '01, 4.8l, automatic, 4x4. It does not crank longer all the time, it is random, but seems especially to happen after sitting overnight or all day at work. It runs normally, no missing, stumbling or lack of response. This morning I filled it up where I usually get fuel. It seems funny it would happen soon after adding a bottle of Techron and 10 gallons of gas. I hear a lot about the fuel pumps going on these trucks, but I dont hear any strange noise. I am stumped. Thanks for any clues.

I would not call cranking for "a second or two" to be in any way abnormal. I realize this is probably something new so you're concerned. I'd look at fuel pressure after shut off. Does it hold? How's the FPR? Any signs of leakage?

How do I know if the fuel pressure is holding, just by looking for signs of leakage around the FPR tubes? Thanks.

Yesterday I checked around the FPR and saw no leakage. I pulled the line off and it was bone dry. What could cause this extended cranking? I am worried because it happened suddenly, yet the truck runs fine. Do you think I should take it to the dealer for a check? or just wait and see what happens next, if anything. It bothers me because since it was new it would start right up with no audible cranking.
