hey,i went to my 1st funeral today (im 17)it wasnt good i didnt take it too well ...i hope to god i dont have to go to anymore for along time...its scary seeing your loved one there not breathing or anything...ahhh it was scary and creepy...haha sorry i thought i should just tell someone

Hardly ever a good scene. There must be some deep down reason why we put ourselves through it, though I can't think of one. I stopped trying to figure out human psychology long ago.

Good question - why do we put ourselves through that?

 

The only good answer I can come up with - to see the rest of the family /

friends that you only see at weddings & funerals. Although, if they are worth seeing chances are you would have called them at some other time.

Sorry to hear about the loss. The last couple deaths that we have had in our family, I haven't gone to the funerals. I just can't take it. Fortuantly we havent had any for several years. I pray to God that we won't have any for a long time.

In my line of work, I deal with death frequently enough. The scenes I can handle, what tears at you on the inside is seeing the pain and sadness of the family.

Wow, that's pretty lucky making it to 17!

 

My son is 2.5 years old and he's already been to 3 funerals and 2 weddings.
