dashboard gauges

I was thinking of putting a new instrument cluster in my truck. Currently the one that is in it has no RPM gauge, just MPH and a large fuel gauge. I want to put a cluster in it that has the RPM gauge, which would move the fuel gauge to the smaller left side. Can it be done without changing the wiring, by just adding the new cluster or would I have to totally redo the wiring?

i have switched over a lot of gauge clusters over the years on the 73-87 trucks and if i remember correctly the printed circuit on the back of the cluster has what you need but you will have to trace the wire that will feed the tach signal and see if it is in the harness or not, if its not all you need to do is run a wire from the correponding empty terminal in the harness plug to the tach out-put on the distributor, then trace the circuit that goes to the gas gauge and make sure it goes to the correct location for the new gas gauge. sorry for the long explanation, its really quite simple but hard to explain.
