To hook up my notebook, to the onboard computer, and change settings?

I know about the programmers out there, but I have a kick a$$ notebook that'll do the job, I just need the software, and the uplink and pinout for the connector.

Yes there is, it is called AUTO TAP.

This is only for 1996 and newer vehicles, but it hooks up to your PC.

Autotap will let you VIEW sensor readings, but not change settings.

LS1edit will allow you to change settings. It is very complex though and should not be used lightly. It would be very easy to screw up your PCM.

in the faq it said it capabilitys are limited in this area....

what is LS1EDIT a software program???

where would i get it. i am pretty computer literate, and i can follow a flow chart, is it that complicated??? or just hard to fix a mistake. i.e. no second chances
