88 gmc and 90 suburban grilles

i have a 1988 gmc sierra 1500 and the grille is smashed. i went to my local junkyard and all that they had were grilles off of like a 1990 chevy suburban. i was wondering if that grille will swap directly onto my truck? thanks for the info.

I know for sure the corner lights will not work on the chevy grill from the gmc grill. You will need to get those changed. Another thing is I think you have dual sealed lights on your 88 I may be wrong though. If the 90 doesn't have sealed lights so you may need to change them.

If its me I'd just get the 94+ upgrade kit from www.mrtaillight.com I think its like 199.99 for the grill and park lamps. Lights should work, but they'll look funny. I think the replacement head lights were like 70 bucks.
