I found another place on my truck to clean

I have an '04 ext cab - I had the doors open the other day and was standing on the door sill to clean the roof. As I pulled my arm back my elbow caught the weatherstripping that runs along the top of the doorframes and pulled it back.

 

Turns out it's not attached like normal weatherstripping and instead has a gutter channel running below it. There was a whole bunch of grime and filth built up in there that I cleaned out. Luckily it hadn't started to damage the paint at all, but it was somewhere I never would have though to check otherwise.

 

Just wanted to pass along the info - it looks like it could easily turn into a problem area.

I do and always clean the inside edges on the bottom of your doors and it'll keep rust at bay
