2006 Yukon-Speaker above driver

I have tried a search and read the Owners Manual, but cannot find an answer. Next to the sunvisor is a little black microphone looking thing that I believe is part of the On-Star system for the handsfree cell, correct? Right above the driver on the headliner is what looks like a speaker about the size of a half dollar that I thought must be for the On-star speaker, but when I push the On-Star button the sound comes from somewhere else and not that speaker....any idea what it is?

Auto climate control sensor.

Funny, mine is gray so it matches the headliner. Doesn't stand out as much.

And as in the previous post, it's the sensor for the auto climate control.

It does have a small fan inside...so if it starts clicking (like mine did after a few months), you'll know what it is.
