crankin torsion bars

Will cranking up my torsion bars cause any premature wear on any front end parts of my truck? How far can I safely crank them if it will cause extra wear?

I ask this because I bought a 04 chevy Z71 and noticed that the torsion bars are cranked up all the way. The previous owner must have done this.

Thanks,

Jeff

I don't know about your truck, but I know on most S-trucks, cranking the T-bars will cause accelerated wear to ball joints and CV joints. Otherwise it's okay. I wouldn't do it myself though.
