will 33/12.5/r17 tires fit

I have a 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 and i am wondering if anybody knows if a set of 33/12.5/r17s will fit the truck without putting on a lift kit. I would probably have to crank up the torsion bars a bit, but don't know for sure, if anybody can help let me know asap.

You will have to crank for sure. A 12.5" wide tire is way too wide for the stock width rims!

 

The first chart I could find with google:

 

Rim Width in Inches Maximum Tire Width

6" 9.50" Max

7" 9.50"-10.50"

8" 10.50"-11.50"

8.5" 10.50"-12.50"

10" 12.50" and Up

A 285-70 would be just a fraction under 33" and around 11.5 wide and would fit just fine. A 12.5 wide will probly rub.
