Looking to lift my 2500 HD

I'm looking to lift my 01 Hd 2500 4x4 about 6 inches or so, who out there make a decent lift?

I've leaning toward Fabtek, they seem to have the most ground clearance under the front diff.

What tire size are you running with your lift???

Your opions would help.

Thanks Mike

I have a Pro-Comp and I am very happy with it. I am running 355/65/18 NTG on mine, I had to do some minor "tweaking" to get the tires to fit. They look great and the tweaking is not noticable at all.

Just so you know...Fabtec is a spindle lift. They don't recommend wheels wider than 8" and you can not use wheels with greater than a 4-5/8" backspacing without spacers due to rubbing issues. Fabtec does however provide an integrated skid plate under the front differential.

As seen in my sig. I also have a ProComp lift. This lift drops the upper and lower control arms rather than increasing the length of the spindle. The ProComp is a whole lot more involved to put on due to more cutting, some welding, and such. And no skid plate under front differential.

Both lifts are great and will serve you well, just understand there are some differences.

The Fabtech kit allows the use of stock wheels which have a wider than 4 5/8"(5"BS) however, at the expense of wider front tracking compared to the other spindle lifts. You can use wider than 8" wheels with the Fabtech kit as well. I think you are confusing the Fabtech kit with someone else's. Both Full Drop(Pro Comp) and Spindle lifts have their advantages. You just have to decide which advantages are the most important to you. Just do a little research, as the subject of "Which is the best lift kit" has been thoroughly beaten to death and then some.
