flhtvtwin1 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 I had a bug/hood shield on my 2003 Silverado. The hardware (nuts that snapped into square holes) stripped out and broke. I can't find anything that fits these holes. I've tried license plate nuts and no parts places or dealers sell just the nuts. I guess they want me to buy a new shield. Has anyone found anything that fits these holes? If not, what are your recommendations for a new shield? I'm not real happy with this one anyway as it moves the wipers around quite a bit. I've just Zaino'd the truck. The Arrival Blue looks and feels great! Thanks for any help, Mark

I owned a 03 and currently own a 06 and the OEM ones seems to fit the body lines better. Also I never had the wipers move on either model. http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results.cfm?s...number=12498547
95Sierra2500 Posted September 26, 2006 Posted September 26, 2006 Unless you're looking to switch, I'd say contact the manufacturer of your current guard and see if they'll send/sell you these nuts. If their customer service center is any good, they'll sell them to you cheap. If they're REALLY good, they'll give you them free or you just pay shipping.

I contacted them and they sent new ones out to me free of charge and I had them in 2 days
