Getting discouraged

The first amp I bought was known to be new/never installed. As I expected, I only got sound out of the right front speaker. I couldn't find a vehicle with the stock lux option that I could use to program the amp, so I bought another one used, supposed to have come from a Denali. Well, I got it in the mail, and it does the same thing as the other one. Sound only comes from the right front speaker.

 

So now I'm wondering, do I just have 2 amps that need programming? I thought a used amp wouldn't need programming.

 

...or do I have some other problem with my system?

 

And what's my next step? Buy a THIRD AMP? I don't know anybody who has a denali or escalade that I can use to try to program my amp.

 

To make matters worse, even if I solve the amp problem, the INR headunit I bought won't read CD's. I suspect it won't read the nav disc I have coming in the mail either. I tried opening it up and cleaning the little 'eye' to no avail. So I may have a useless $350 headunit as well.

 

ugggh.

 

I'm open for suggestions.

I would troubleshoot the wiring. SOme of those pins can have bad connections.
