94 GMC Jimmy Coolant Leaking into Cab! HELP!

Recommended Posts

After doing a minor repair to the hi-beam switch under the driver-side dash on my '94 Jimmy, I now have a coolant leak into the passenger side of the cab! It looks like it may be leaking from INSIDE the a/c vents. Is there something I could have shaken loose or cracked while working under the dash. I never thought coolant would be routed inside the cab. Can't see any coolant leaking in the engine compartment at all. Nothing on the ground either. Any suggestions? Thanks :cheers:

Check the right side of the cab. There is a heater core there under the dash. You will have to take the blower box off to get to it. Also, You should have to coolant lines in the engine compartment that run thru the fire wall to it. Either one of them came off, or the heater core rotted away due to corosion and needs to be replaced. You can take the 2 heater hoses in the engine bay, that run into the cab and hook them together and bypass the core till you fix it.
