Catback system for Yukon XL

Hello Everybody

 

I'm looking for a nice exhaust system for my 2005 Yukon XL 1500 5.3l. I was wondering if anybody already has some experiences. I want to improve the sound and the performance - but a nice V8 rumble (not deafening...) would be nice.

Any thoughts?

There are a ton of options out there for cat-back exhaust systems.

Corsa, borla, flowmaster, gibson, magnaflow, etc. Dual exhaust, single exit exhaust.....all depends on what you're really looking for.

Whichever system you choose, you may want to consider stainless steel. It will last a lot longer than regular pipes.

Thanks for the welcome and the fast reply.

Well honestly I'm not sure right now as I guess the single out is easier to do (spare tire etc), but the split might sound better - however might be too loud.

I had a Durango once with a Magnaflow on it - was really nice but I was using a smaller muffler than included in the system...

I'm also looking for a reasonable priced system. How is the quality on your Gibson regarding easy replacement (thinking of replacing the system by myself)?

By the way the clip is not working for me :-(((( the page is asking for a password.

Patrick, the Yukon sounds great. All I could think while I was listening to the clip was: "my wife would kill me" She likes her truck to be nice and quiet, me? I want to hear that V8 music.

 

Because of this, I have a real nice true dual system on my '71 with a pair or mufflers called "vortex, made by Maremont. It sounds so sweet.
