Removing air valance

i would like to remove the plastic air valance (air d**n) that is under my front bumper to give my truck the apperance that it is lifted more than it is, but will this dangerously affect the aerodynamics (less downforce -> less traction at high speeds)?

I can't say 100%, but it seems unlikely it will affect handling or stability. However, it could affect engine cooling.

A number of years ago we had problems with Camaro's if a isimiloar air dam was missing. They would overheat severely at highway speeds, though there was no problem at lower speeds. Apparently, turbulance created by the missing air dam was bad enough to reduce airflow through the radiator significantly.

The only way to know if this will affect yours in that way is to try it.
