Cruise Control Self Install

I've decided to see if i can get the cruise control stuff for my truck. Its a 99 Chevy Silverado 4.3L V6 2wd.

 

 

From my understanding, all i need is the cruse module (with the cable to the throttle) and the stalk with the cable.

 

Im taking a trip to Horsehead's Pick-A-Part (Elmira, NY) to see if i can find these parts...my question is...

 

Is there any specific years that work/dont work? Is it just simply 99-06 trucks with the 4.3L that will work? Or does it range to all the vehicles? (S10, Silverado, blazer, etc.)

The V-6 is harder. . .I just put one on mine. . .It cost about 80 bucks more than the one for the V-8.
