Replacing oil cooler lines on '98 Suburban

I have the typical leaking external oil cooler lines on my '98 4x4 Suburban 5.7L. From the Dorman specs my lines are the same as lines for the '99 Suburban and 2000 4x4 C/K trucks.

 

The fittings at the radiator are hex plugs, so no questions there, but the ends where the lines go into the oil filter adapter appear to be press-in fit and seal.

 

So, my question is, is one (or more) special tools required to 1) remove the old line fittings from the adapter, and 2) install the new line fittings into the adapter?

I cannot be sure but I think the ends are the same as the quick connect ends on the trans lines. Again I am not 100% sure on this. If they are, they do make a special tool. However, you can simply slide back the plastic cover, and use a small screwdriver to remove the small c clip. Once this clip is out of the way, the line wil slip off. The install is just as easy but reversed.

Thanks for that info Trey. I'll crawl under it again and look more closely at those connectors. I've only glanced at them as I've been tweaking/fixing other stuff under there, and I just noted that the connecters at the adapter didn't appear to be of a standard "wrenchable" type... Thanks
