Ugh! I can't get a straight answer...

I have called Axxess, JPCustoms, and others...

I can *not* get a straight answer from ANY of them!!

I have a 2006 Sileverado 1500 with the "Radio with CD" (This means I have a radio, and a single cd in my dash board. I do not have XM and I do not have a disc changer in the vehicle.

I have a button on my radio (the # 5 preset) that has the number "5" at the top and a picture of something that looks like a disc of some kind.

I do not know if my radio is "changer friendly" and I don't know if the radio is "XM friendly" -- all I know is that it is all stock and I would like to add an Axxess iPOD Interface #GMIP-01 to my truck.

I called axxess (Metra) and after getting a *VERY* unconvincing "Yes, it will work" 9being put on hold a bunch of times, the person on the phone simply wasn't sure) -- I called other places and was told it won't work.

Does anyone here, know, for sure if it WILL or WILL NOT work?

Thanks for the help,

Pete

if that interface is runs through the satelite connection, just pull out your radio to see if you have an area for a sat connection. It will be a little square like the radio plug, but smaller. If you do, it will work.
