Coolant Seep

I have a 2001 ecsb 4.3 that has been losing coolant slowly. Is there an area where these engines are prone to leak? I can smell outside the truck it, but cant see any visible leaks. Any help is appreciated.

With my truck, every 2 months I would have to add a little coolant to the recovery tank as I would notice it was getting low but I couldn't see anything leaking. The next time I had the truck on the lift changing the oil I noticed some antifreeze on the oil pan bolts but just on the drivers side. I found that my water pump gasket on the drivers side has a slight leak and it runs down the block behind all the accessory drives and winds up dripping off of oil pan bolts. There is a weep hole on the front of your water pump so that would be the first place to look. Otherwise you'll have to dig around. Could be anything from a loose hose to what I have, a bad waterpump gasket. Dig around and you'll find it, especially since you can smell it.
