no prob! im willing to try anything. and i will share all the info i come up with. i work trucks hard ive always run diesels but like i said after hearing about a gas engine that will perform as well and better than diesels i had to try it even though it was a gm product!!! :) . its my first and im ready to see what it will do. i have to haul 20 bales of hay home this weekend 1100 pounds or so each i will report back to you guys on that trip 420 miles one way. i take this load once a month it will be the first on this truck. so i will know how it compares real soon. oh and i have one 6% grade to climb on the way! haha.. my 2000 dodge 5speed takes it in 3rd at about 40 i cant wait to see how ths truck handles that hill..

oh yea does anyone know the part number for the larger oil filter? i want a fram filter P# if anyone has it please help me.

i thought someone said it was a pf1218 or something like that.

PF 1218 I believe is the correct one.  However, do you have 4WD?  If so, it won't fit, unless you don't mind it rubbing against the front driveshaft.  :)

Otherwise, if it's 2wd, you'll be fine

Fram PH8873 if you have 4WD. I will be avoiding these though due to the correspondence on the quality of this filter. I don't think they are less expensive than the AC-Delco PF454 either.
