2007 6.0 horsepower rating

Actually bore and stroke are the same for all 6.0L engines: 101.6mm X 92mm for a displacement of 5967cc or 6.0L.

 

From what I can read on the GMPowertrain.com site, the biggest changes are new cylinder heads (possibly the #243 castings :nopity: ) and variable valve timing (VVT) on the new 6.0L L76 (aluminum block) and LY6 (iron block) motors. I can't figure out from the literature if any cam changes were made with the exception of VVT.

You can include exhaust system & PCM calibrations too.

I was kinda curious to see what, if any, differences there are in the 5.3L vs. the 6.0L exhaust systems. It looks like they exit in different locations from what I can see on press photos. The 5.3s exit behind the right rear wheel like they do on the GMT-800s and the 6.0s exit under the rear bumper. Don't know if they use different mufflers, pipe diameters, etc.
