Heater vent doors??

Recommended Posts

My 2000 silverado is allowing cold air into the pass side floor with the heater on!! Dirvers side seems fine. Been told that there are modules that contorl the a/c Heater vent doors ---that fail which requires the dealer to remove the dash for access and replacment. My 2000 Tahoe had the same problem before I sold it. Common problem? Easy cheap fix??????_______________

There's been several threads on this over the past few years. I didnt want to take the time to try and search for them, but the short answer is that the seal on the heater box to the exterior air intake falls out and leaves a big gap for the air to blow right through.

The solution is to remove the heater box and fix the seal, then re-install.
