Rear-end fluid

Going to be changing out the diff fluid real soon, just hit 5000 miles.  Was wondering about the Mag-Hytec covers (are they worth it - is it necessary?) and who is running what for lube?  Also what weight?

Thanks, exactly what I was after.  The Eaton site doesn't mention lubrication requirements for the mechanical locker, so I assume anything goes (synth or not & weight), or am I wrong?
