Yep, that's a big ole hog.  There's been some discussion that the hog was actually a domestic hog that was let loose and shot after a few years in the wild.  I can't say for sure.  But I know for sure there are some wild hogs that could easily go 500lbs.  

 

That hog weighed somewhere around 1000lbs.
